464 Palestinian students continue to suffer in Zionist jails
Palestinian sources confirm that more than 4000 Palestinian children under the age of 18 have been arrested by occupation forces. Today, the number of children in occupation prisons is 459. These children are subjected to physical and psychological torture, as well as to inhumane treatment by prison guards.
On occasion of the Palestinian Prisoners Day, the Ministry of Education reported that the students who in occupation prisons can form a large school. These children are missing their education, freedom, parents, teachers, and friends. Imprisonment is almost certain to affect their development and behavior.
Over the past 12 months, a total of 226 children were detained. In addition, 70 child prisoners are suffering from various ailments. The occupation prison authority neglects the medical needs of these prisoners. Prisoners are denied clinical examination, medication, and treatment. Approximately 40% of children suffer from recurring ailments due to medical negligence.
Despite international agreements on the rights of the child, Palestinian children continue to suffer under detention. This includes depriving them of visitation rights by their families.
